A Caring Community where you can find Hope and Purpose
Close

A Caring Community is where we strive to work together. It's a place where we find Hope and Purpose as we follow Jesus Christ.

At South Langley Church we are convinced that life is filled with possibility, mystery and meaning. Allowing God to reawaken within us the curiosity to explore and discover Him brings hope into our lives.

We believe that Jesus is God’s gift to us that allows our hearts to respond to this wonder. You are invited to explore our website and to join us on a life changing journey of knowing and following Jesus.

What We Believe

We are a community of God's people...

-who come together to share the love we have received in Jesus Christ in a concerned caring way.

-who come seeking to discover practical applications of God's Word for our lives.

-who value worshipping God together, in the context of a multigenerational congregation.

-who value Care Groups where we can grow and multiply through study, sharing and prayer.

We are affiliated with the General Conference of Mennonite Brethren Churches.

Our heritage comes out of the Anabaptist-Mennonite movement of sixteenth century Europe with its strong commitment to the Word of God.

The word "Brethren" emphasizes the ministry of all God's people in our church. Although we began with strong ethnic roots we have grown to embrace people of all races and denominations in the Body of Christ.

We believe there is one God, never ending, who exists as three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

We believe that God revealed Himself in creation, through the Old and New Testaments, and ultimately through Jesus Christ, His Son. The inspired Word of God, the Bible, is our guide for faith and Christian living.

We believe that Jesus Christ, the eternal Son of God, conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary, is true God and true man.

We believe that man and woman were created in the image of God. By sinning they broke fellowship with God, bringing upon themselves and the entire human race physical and spiritual death. But Christ died for our sin. He rose on the third day delivering us from the power of sin, death.

We believe that all who put their trust in Jesus Christ receive the forgiveness of sin and are born again by the Holy Spirit as children of God.

We believe that peace and reconciliation are at the heart of the Christian gospel. God has called us to seek peace in all our relationships.

Bulletin Bloopers: apparently these are real but not ours of course!

"Don't let worry kill you, let the church help."

Memory Passage

"And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose."
